Nou Nature Reserves

Nou Nature Forest Reserve (NNFR) is a protected montane forest located in the Manyara Region of northern Tanzania, on the slopes of the Mbulu Highlands. It is one of Tanzania's important natural forest reserves managed by the Tanzania Forest Services (TFS) Agency. The reserve plays a significant role in conserving biodiversity, protecting water catchments, and supporting the livelihoods of surrounding communities through sustainable ecosystem services. Ecological Importance

• Biodiversity Conservation: The reserve supports a rich diversity of indigenous tree species, birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, and other wildlife characteristic of Tanzania's montane forests.
